What does one transit mean?
It is a strait passage inferred from vessel AIS signals. The same vessel is counted only once within 48 hours, and dates use UTC.
Does this show inbound versus outbound traffic?
This public file provides total, tanker, and cargo counts but no directional split. The page does not invent an inbound or outbound estimate.
