♦️Is the Chehel Sotoun in danger of collapsing? 🔹The attack on the Isfahan governor's building during the aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against our country during Ramadan’s war was not limited to just one administrative building. The wave of explosions affected a significant part of the historical area of the Safavid government, which houses one of Iran's most valuable registered world heritage sites, the Chehel Sotoun Palace Museum. 🔹Although in the initial days, the breaking of glass, damage to decorations, and the falling of parts of the plaster were the main focus, specialized investigations revealed that the extent of the damage goes beyond superficial injuries and that part of the historical structure was also affected by this event. Fatemeh Gholami, restoration consultant for the global heritage site of Chehel Sotoun Palace Museum, stated in an interview with Mehr: 🔹What can be confidently said today is that the building is not in a critical condition or on the verge of collapse, but at the same time, the identified damages cannot be ignored. We are facing a set of structural weaknesses that should not be left unaddressed.
