Reuters: Iran Likely to Reverse Engineer Submarine It Acquired Reuters reported: 🔹 Iran is likely to reverse engineer the American-made autonomous unmanned submarine "Dive-LD" that it has acquired, an action that could provide Tehran access to valuable U.S. underwater drone technology. 🔹 The U.S. Navy and the manufacturer of the system, "Anduril," have downplayed the importance of its loss. U.S. Navy officials stated that the device was an older model that malfunctioned and after it became inoperative in the water, effectively "remaining motionless in the water," it was recovered by Iranian forces. 🔹 The Dive-LD system is designed for long-duration automated missions underwater and can continue to operate for up to 10 days with minimal human intervention.
