The IDF achieved operational control through a series of offensive operations, including ambushes, strikes against tunnel shafts using gunfire, grenades and drones, as well as other fire-based attacks. Members of the "Badr" Unit constructed the routes with funding and joint planning provided by the Iranian terror regime. The two infrastructures were used by the unit’s operatives to manage fire operations, conduct combat against IDF forces, and carry out terrorist attacks targeting Israeli civilians over the past several decades.
