Iran's Foreign Minister: We were negligent in protecting political leaders In an interview with the program "The Story of the War": 🔹 12 days before the war began, a regional leader happily told me that the war is certain and requested that we do not respond, as they would strike at the leadership. I said that any point in Iran that is attacked will face retaliation. This angered that regional leader, and he said that no one can threaten us. Later, the U.S. had told regional countries to hold on for a month; the war would end, and after that, the issue would be resolved forever. 🔹 The experience of Venezuela gave the U.S. this wrong analysis that if the leadership is removed, the system will collapse. Now, our friendly countries are saying that they warned them that Iran is different. 🔹 Although we were not negligent militarily in the 40-day war, we were negligent in protecting political leaders./Jamaran
