Yerevan: Targeting Iran's infrastructure is a war crime Iran's representative to the United Nations in a letter to the Security Council: 🔺 The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns these heinous and ongoing aggressive acts of the United States and the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure that has resulted in civilian casualties. 🔺Repeatedly targeting civilian sites, especially vital road and rail transport networks, constitutes a war crime. 🔺If the lack of effective action by the United Nations and the Security Council continues, Iran reserves its inherent right under international law to take all necessary measures to preserve its sovereignty, territorial integrity, people, and vital national interests.
