Jalal Maleki, spokesperson for the Fire Department and Safety Services of Tehran Municipality: At 2:04 a.m. today, an explosion occurred in a residential unit located within the area of Meydan 95 in Narmak, which was reported to the 125 system. Immediately, two fire stations were dispatched to the scene, and firefighters arrived in less than four minutes. The site of the incident was an old two-story house, the roof of which was covered with corrugated sheets. The gas regulator was located in the space under this roof, and due to the accumulation of gas in this section, an explosion occurred without fire; an incident that is referred to in firefighting terminology as a "kap." As a result of this explosion, the windows of the same house and the corrugated sheets and roof were damaged, but fortunately, this incident did not cause any destruction and there were no casualties or injuries.
