Narration by Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the initial moments of the U.S. attack on Iran Foreign Minister: 🔺From Friday the 8th Esfand, the atmosphere had shifted toward war. I met with the President at 8 AM on Saturday and told him, "The atmosphere is warlike." 🔺We usually submitted reports to Mr. Hajazi, and he conveyed them to the leadership. I met with Mr. Hajazi at 9 AM and conveyed the negotiations report to him, and while I was pointing to the heavy war atmosphere, that place was targeted for attack. 🔺The Strategic Council on Foreign Relations had its regular weekly meeting at that same hour. The martyr leading figure of the revolution was present in their office. Martyr Shamkhani also chaired a defense council meeting. 🔺Holding simultaneous meetings on those days was not unusual; however, the enemy’s awareness of these meetings was the result of an intelligence gap that likely still exists. 🔺The meeting of martyr Shamkhani with the commanders in the defense council, the office of martyr Shirazi, the office of Mr. Hajazi, and the office of the martyr leader were the enemy's targets within the scope of the leader's residence.
