UAE Listens to the U.S.; Inspection of an Egyptian Bank Has Started 🔺The Central Bank of the UAE announced that it would begin inspecting the activities of the Egyptian bank's branch in the country just 9 hours after the U.S. imposed sanctions on an Egyptian bank. 🔺The U.S. Treasury Department previously claimed that the UAE branch of the Egyptian bank processed about $1.8 billion in transactions for 103 companies from January 2024 to June 2026, raising the possibility of their connections to Iranian financial networks.
