Washington Post: US military bases are no longer safe 🔹The Washington Post argues in a report about the vulnerability of US military bases to attacks from Iran that the ongoing war has called into question one of the longstanding assumptions of US military strategy: the assumption that US bases abroad, especially those near conflict zones, can remain safe from enemy attacks. 🔹The Washington Post had previously reported in an analysis of satellite images that since the beginning of the war on 28 February, Iranian attacks have damaged or destroyed at least 228 structures or pieces of equipment at US military bases in the Middle East; ranging from aircraft hangars and barracks to fuel depots, aircraft, radars, communication equipment, and air defense systems. 🔹According to this newspaper, the extent of the damage is much greater than what the US government has publicly stated. 🔹This newspaper states that the US Army must now choose between 2 difficult options. 🖼But what are the 2 options for the US?
