🔺The Oldest Photos of Persepolis 🔹In the autumn of 1236 Solar Hijri (1857 AD), an Italian officer ascended the Marvdasht plain with a heavy camera on his shoulder and stood in front of the enormous columns of Persepolis. Luigi Pesce, who had come to Iran to provide military training to the Iranian army, was able to capture the oldest known photograph of Persepolis. 🔷ISNA
