The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Sariyya, claims in a recorded statement that following the identification of gatherings of pro-Saudi military forces in their final stages preparing for escalation against the Houthi-controlled territories – they carried out a wide-scale attack on the gatherings and bases of the pro-Saudi forces in Yemen. Sariyya also noted that the operation was carried out using a large number of ballistic missiles and drones and claimed that the attacks caused hundreds of dead and wounded among the pro-Saudi forces and the destruction of numerous bases, equipment, and gatherings of these forces. In addition, Sariyya warned Saudi Arabia against "a foolish act against Yemen and against the people of Yemen – so that Saudi Arabia will bear responsibility for it" and called for other pro-Saudi forces to abandon their bases.
