Telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of Iran and France 🔹Seyed Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Foreign Minister of France, held a telephone conversation this afternoon on Tuesday to discuss the latest bilateral, regional, and international developments. 🔹The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran protested in this conversation against the unconventional actions and violations of diplomatic norms by two French diplomats in Tehran, deeming their behaviors unacceptable, and emphasized that adherence to the laws and regulations of the host country and commitment to recognized diplomatic principles and norms is essential for the continuity of foreign missions' activities. Araqchi called for preventing such actions from being repeated and for the French government to take the necessary measures. 🔹The Foreign Minister of our country stated that the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz is a direct result of the violation of obligations by the United States under the Islamabad Memorandum and that country’s provocative actions, asserting that the responsibility for the repercussions of this situation lies with the party that deviates from agreements and continues unilateral approaches, jeopardizing the diplomatic process and regional stability.
