6 damaged U.S. tanker planes entered this country for repairs. 🔹At least 6 KC-135 refueling aircraft of the U.S. Air Force were damaged during operations against Iran, and one was completely destroyed. 🔹Five of these planes were damaged in the Iranian missile attack on Prince Sultan base in Saudi Arabia, and one was damaged in an aerial collision with another tanker over Iraq. 🔹In the aerial collision incident on 12 March, one tanker crashed, and all 6 crew members were killed, but the other tanker returned to Tinker base. 🔹These aircraft have been transferred to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma for major repairs after temporary repairs in the region. 🔹The major repairs are conducted simultaneously with a 5-year periodic inspection but may take longer than the average of 155 days due to hidden damage.
