Iraqi speaking to the High Representative of the EU's Foreign Policy: 🔺The claim that the attack by Ukraine on the Iranian ship was unintentional is unacceptable. 🔹Seyed Abbas Araqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Ms. Kaja Kallas, the EU's foreign policy chief, discussed the latest regional and international developments in a phone call. 🔹In this phone conversation, they exchanged views on the latest developments related to the Strait of Hormuz, and our foreign minister explained our country's positions and considerations regarding the current situation in the region, including ongoing consultations with the Sultanate of Oman. 🔹Our foreign minister also rejected the EU's interfering statement regarding the French agents' misconduct in Tehran, noting that the EU's support for the misconduct of the French agents working in its embassy in Tehran is contrary to the provisions of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. 🔹Referring to the phone call he had with the Ukrainian foreign minister, who emphasized that the attack on the Iranian ship was unintentional, he stated that given the explicit remarks by the Ukrainian president regarding the acceptance of responsibility for the attack on the Iranian commercial ship, the claim that this attack was unintentional is not admissible, and the Ukrainian regime must explicitly accept responsibility for this illegal and criminal act that led to the martyrdom and injury of Iranian citizens and the destruction of the Iranian commercial vessel.
