The second major strike by Yemen against Aramco after 7 years 🔹Aramco, the largest oil company in the world and the backbone of Saudi Arabia's economy, was targeted today in 2 simultaneous operations by the armed forces of Yemen. The targets of these attacks were the Jazan refinery and the Yanbu oil facilities. 🔹The Jazan refinery has a processing capacity of 400,000 barrels of oil per day, and Yanbu is also the endpoint of the East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia and one of the main routes for transporting oil to the Red Sea and European markets. 🔹News sources have reported explosions and fires in Jazan. Additionally, images of fuel lines forming in some cities of Saudi Arabia have been released following the news of the attacks. 🔸This operation is the second major attack by Yemen on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure after the 2019 attacks on Abqaiq and Khurais; an attack that halted about 5.7 million barrels of Saudi Arabia's daily oil production.
