🔺Statement of the Atomic Energy Organization condemning the US terrorist attack on the under-construction site of the Darakhuin nuclear power plant Iran's Atomic Energy Organization: 🔹The terrorist and criminal regime of the United States attacked the construction site of the Darakhuin power plant - one of the symbols of the pride and scientific self-sufficiency of the Iranian nation - on Sunday, the 28th of Tir 1405, at approximately 3:39 AM local time, with several projectiles. 🔹This site has been fully under the supervision and safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency under the comprehensive safeguards agreement between Iran and the Agency, and its activities are peaceful and legal. 🔹The US regime has violated international law by attacking this safeguarded site. 🔹The Islamic Republic of Iran expects the Director General of the Agency to condemn this crime, which further undermines the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), nuclear safeguards, and the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and to fulfill its statutory responsibilities.
