This invasion once again proved that the "balance policy" pursued by the Baghdad government to keep the country away from regional conflicts is facing major challenges. 🔺Immediately after the invasion, a national security ministerial council meeting was convened under the chairmanship of "Ali al-Zaydi," the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, where it condemned the "invasion of Iraq" and emphasized opposition to "any violation of national sovereignty." 🔺The government's position failed to calm the resistance groups. These groups stated that they do not find the condemnation statements sufficient. The "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" issued a stern statement demanding the Iraqi government to prove its capability to respond to this invasion within the next 6 August. 🔺One of the resistance group commanders announced that "the resistance forces are considering executing a response to these attacks within 72 hours." He emphasized that the invasion of Iraq by Saudi Arabia "will not be without cost" and believes that "this invasion has eliminated any discussion about the delivery of weapons."
