In an interview with IRNA on Thursday, Abbas Golroo highlighted the consequences of the US-Israeli war against Iran, saying even American experts believe that Trump is stuck in a quagmire, as he sends signals of secret messages, simultaneously proceeding with military action on the one hand and with economic war and sanctions on the other. ​ Stating that the current equations in the region and between Iran and the United States remain complex, he described the scenario created by the US president, through his anti-Iran policies, as an absolute “double-edged sword” for the Americans. ​ According to him, the US domestic realities, including multiple jumps in fuel and diesel prices, have not only increased public pressure, but are also likely to give a fatal blow to the Republican Party and Trump’s criminal gang in the midterm elections. ​ He also referred to the US economic war against Iran, but said its impact can be mitigated if the Islamic Republic did not allow it, using all its means, to transform from a traditional form of sanctions into an oil-field siege. ​ He emphasized that Iran had gained an upper hand in the current geopolitical sphere, especially with regard to the strategic Strait of Hormuz, by convincing its neighbors to accept new designs for the passage of vessels. Even the Americans have been forced to accept these new rules, he added. ​ The parliamentarian continued, “Now, we need wisdom and intelligence to turn these field achievements into political and economic achievements. We will never allow the economic blockade to be consolidated.” ​ Regarding the US war crimes in Sirik, the Iranian lawmaker likened the Americans to the Israeli regime, saying that their actions on the ground are the same, as they have learned from each other how to commit crimes. ​ He also talked about the deliberate US bombing of civilian positions and the American attempts to evade responsibility for attacks, saying their actions are in complete contradiction with the claims. 📲 ​
