📄 Ghalibaf facilitates new IRGC Navy chief, head of Basij Organization 📌 Tehran, IRNA — Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf has conveyed his congratulations to the new heads of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy and the Basij Organization. In a message posted on the official website of the Parliament on Tuesday morning, Ghalibaf hailed Rear Admiral Ali Ozamaei's appointment as the IRGC Navy commander, and wished him great success in the new position. ​ He said Ozamaei's effective presence in maritime defense for years and his close familiarity with the conditions, especially in the face of the recent US-Israeli-imposed war, will be helpful in commanding a Navy that is at the forefront of protecting maritime borders, national interests in the Strait of Hormuz, and the security of the Persian Gulf. ​ Stating that the IRGC Navy performed brilliantly, relying on the initiative, courage, and capability of its forces during the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the top parliamentarian said the strategic capacities of this force will flourish even more than before through the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei. ​ In a separate message, Ghalibaf greeted Hojjat al-Islam Hossein Taeb for his appointment as head of the Basij Organization, saying his tenure will witness a new chapter of transformation in the volunteer forces, with people-oriented development and utilization of the country's enormous human capital. ​ According to him, the Basij needs a comprehensive and forward-looking perspective, more than ever, and the worthy appointment of Taeb by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to head the Basij Organization for the Underprivileged would help realize one of the enduring ideals of Imam Khomeini, that is, the formation of a twenty-million-strong volunteer force. ​ Undoubtedly, Ghalibaf continued, the background and experience of the new Basij chief, as well as his precise knowledge in various fields, would create fertile ground for organizing and giving the volunteer force a platform, under the guidance of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. 📲 ​
