📄 Araghchi: Iran to continue coordinating diplomatic, defense efforts to safeguard national interests 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says coordination between the country’s diplomatic and defense efforts will continue to safeguard national interests. During a meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament on Monday, Araghchi highlighted the effective and ongoing collaboration between the Foreign Ministry and the Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy. ​ The foreign minister provided lawmakers with an update on the latest developments, including the agreement with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, ongoing negotiations, and the efforts of mediators. ​ He outlined Iran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, discussed the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, and addressed the upcoming BRICS summit. ​ The top Iranian diplomat also touched on relations with neighboring countries, bilateral ties, and joint projects. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy. ​ Araghchi praised the unprecedented resistance of the Armed Forces and the wise presence of the Iranian people in the streets.
