📡 Iran condemns Israeli attacks on Lebanon, blames UNSC silence 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has strongly condemned recent Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, saying the silence of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has encouraged further Israeli aggression. Baqaei said on Tuesday that continued Israeli attacks had resulted in the martyrdom and injuries of Lebanese civilians and caused damage to homes and infrastructure. ​ The spokesperson criticized the international community’s silence and inaction, particularly by the UNSC, saying they had emboldened the Israeli regime to continue violating Lebanon’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty. ​ He also condemned the US administration for being an accomplice in Israeli crimes across Lebanon, the occupied Palestinian territories and the wider region because of its comprehensive support for the Israeli regime. ​ Baqaei praised the Lebanese people for their resistance and resilience against Israeli aggression and occupation, stressing Iran’s full solidarity with Lebanon in defending its sovereignty, dignity and independence. ​ Israeli warplanes reportedly struck areas around Al-Mansouri Municipality in southern Lebanon’s Tyre District, while Israeli artillery targeted the Ali al-Taher Hill in Nabatiyeh Governorate. 📲 ​
