💬 IRGC to Jordanian, Kuwaiti peoples: US violating your countries’ sovereignty 📌 Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it is the United States that, through its military bases in Kuwait and Jordan, has violated the two countries’ sovereignty, emphasizing that Iran has the legal right to target aggressors and those responsible for killing its people wherever they launch attacks. In separate statements addressed to the peoples of Kuwait and Jordan early Wednesday, the IRGC said US military bases in the two countries operate under American control rather than the authority of their host governments, arguing that the presence of such bases constitutes a violation of national sovereignty. The IRGC said its forces had targeted US military positions in Kuwait and Jordan in response to repeated US attacks on Iran. According to the statements, IRGC forces carried out drone strikes on an arms depot, a Patriot air-defense system and an MQ-9 drone hangar at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. They also targeted Camp Udairi, killing and injuring several US forces and causing heavy damage to several helicopters and drones. In Jordan, the IRGC said it had destroyed a US THAAD missile-defense radar, a Patriot system and a C-RAM radar, while also setting fire to fuel tanks, a large helicopter equipment depot and a helicopter maintenance facility. The IRGC referred to Wednesday’s funeral of the remains of 168 people, including schoolchildren, killed in airstrikes in Minab in the opening hours of the recent US-Israeli war, saying crimes against the Iranian people continue, with some of them being committed using bases in Kuwait and Jordan. “It is our legal, religious and logical right to target the aggressor against our country and those who have killed our children wherever they launch their attacks,” it said. The IRGC also emphasized that Iran fully respects the independence and territorial integrity of Jordan and Kuwait. “It is the United States that has violated your territorial integrity and sovereignty, not us. We are targeting the lands occupied by the US army—an army that knows nothing but committing crimes.” 📲
