🖥 Iran says ball has long been in America’s court 📌 Tehran, IRNA – The Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has stressed that “the ball has long been in America’s court,” noting that Iran has never initiated any breach of the Islamabad understanding signed to end the war. Beqaei said on Monday that Iran has not violated the Islamabad understanding, which was signed to end the war, and that it was the United States that broke it, referring to ongoing efforts to bring Washington back to its commitments and to the status of exchanged messages. He recalled the events on July 7, when the US, in a highly disproportionate reaction to an allegation that remains unproven, suddenly announced that it was breaching all of its commitments. Stressing that Iran has never initiated the violation of any agreement and that, as he put it, the ball has long been in America’s court. Baqaei said Iran has condemned the US–Saudi attacks in Iraq through multiple channels, including diplomatic ones, and has delivered a strong formal protest to Saudi Arabia, noting concerns about their impact on pilgrim security. Pointing out that the Saudi side has provided explanations suggesting that it was not involved, Baqaei emphasized that what is clear is that the crime resulted from a joint operation with the United States, during which several Iranian citizens were martyred. The spokesperson added that the attack shows the American side has a problem with everything sacred to Iran, recalling that they previously targeted the railway route toward Mashhad. He noted that the Zionist regime has never adhered to any agreement or understanding and has used mediated arrangements as tools to continue its path of genocide. Referring to previously mentioned statistics and to figures published over the past three years, he noted that 61,000 Palestinian children have been orphaned and nearly 3,000 families have been completely wiped out. These crimes show that the Zionist regime continues to pursue its colonial objectives in occupied Palestine and that the Palestinian people are struggling to preserve their existence under such conditions, he said. 📲
