⚡️ New US terror attacks target locations in southern, northwestern Iran 📌 Tehran, IRNA – The United States continues its aggression on Iran, conducting new attacks that targeted several locations in the south and northwest of the country. The attacks early Wednesday hit areas in the southern provinces of Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan, as well as East Azarbaijan Province in the northwest. ​ Valiollah Hayati, deputy governor-general of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement affairs, said several locations around the cities of Behbahan and Omidiyeh were targeted in missile attacks. ​ In Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Ali Khalilabadi, the provincial deputy governor-general for security and law enforcement affairs, confirmed attacks in the areas of Chabahar and Konarak in the early hours of Wednesday. He said the attacks were swiftly managed and brought under control through the vigilance and preparedness of security, military, and law enforcement forces. ​ Khalilabadi added that the situation in the area remains under control and that the relevant authorities have taken the necessary measures to ensure security. He said normal life resumes in the area, urging residents to follow developments only through official sources and disregard rumors and unverified reports circulating on social media. ​ Meanwhile, official sources confirmed an attack on Hormozgan Province at around 2:20 a.m. local time, with explosions heard in Sirik County. According to the Hormozgan Governorate, the area around Sirik was hit by projectiles launched by US forces. No casualties or damage to residential or commercial infrastructure have been reported. ​ In East Azarbaijan Province, the provincial Crisis Management Department said an area on the outskirts of Tabriz was targeted in a US airstrike at around 2:40 a.m. local time. The department said the explosions heard in Tabriz were caused by the attack, stressing that no location inside the city itself was targeted. ​ The statement added that the attack took place at a considerable distance from the city’s residential areas and that, fortunately, no reports of civilian casualties in the city had been received so far.
