🌍 Parliament to pursue US war crimes in Lamerd through legal channels: MP 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Parliament, in cooperation with the Judiciary, will pursue the legal and international cases arising from US war crimes in Lamerd, alongside the US attack in Minab, Iranian Parliament Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad says. Nikzad made the remarks Wednesday during a visit to Lamerd County, where he inspected Shahid Naeimi Hall and residential homes in the Isargaran Township that were extensively damaged in missile attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime. Paying tribute to those killed in the attacks, Nikzad said martyrdom was the highest blessing God could bestow upon a person. Nikzad offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and the Iranian people, saying the victims were “pure, faithful, devout, honorable and dedicated” people who sacrificed their lives for the dignity and security of the country. He said their martyrdom should be congratulated, while their loss should also be mourned. Nikzad went on to say that the sports facility was a place where young people and children had gathered for recreation and sports. He questioned why such people had been targeted by a bomb containing more than 760,000 pellets. The deputy speaker said Lamerd has a population of 40,000, yet the American-Zionist enemy used bombs against the population containing more than 760,000 fragments. “This is evidence of America’s war crime,” he said. Nikzad said that the American crimes in Lamerd had occurred alongside their crimes in Minab, adding that the Parliament members, particularly the Parliamentary Judiciary and Legal Commission, will pursue the necessary measures in cooperation with the Judiciary through legal authorities as well as international forums. Lamerd, a town in southern Iran, came under US military attack on February 28. CCTV footage published by Iranian state media showed a projectile moments before it exploded above a residential area. International experts identified it as being a US missile, based on its appearance, the size of the blast, and the distance from potential US launch sites in the Middle East. Multiple analysts said the missile seen in the footage was likely a PrSM - a brand new missile manufactured by Lockheed Martin for the US military. Official reports indicated that 21 people, including four children, were killed and a hundred more were injured. On the same day, nearly 400km east, strikes hit an Iranian school in Minab, killing 168 schoolchildren along with their teachers. 📲 ​
