⚡️ IRGC pounds US radar, air defense systems in Bahrain and Kuwait 📌 Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says its Aerospace Force has carried out multiple waves of missile and drone strikes against US military radar, air defense, and communications facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait as part of the latest phase of Operation Nasr-2, destroying a series of strategic military assets. In three successive statements early on Tuesday, the IRGC said the attacks were launched in retaliation for US aggression against Iran and to remove obstacles to future large-scale air and missile operations. According to Statement No. 35, the strikes began with the 24th wave of Operation Nasr-2 under the code name “Ya Roghayeh (S).” The IRGC said its Aerospace Force destroyed a US radar in Muharraq, Bahrain, taking it completely out of operation, while a US Patriot air defense system in Riffa was simultaneously targeted by missile and drone strikes and destroyed. “The major operation of the warriors of Islam to punish the child-killing US army for disrupting the security of the Strait of Hormuz and attacking parts of our beloved homeland began hours ago,” the statement said. It hastened to add that the attacks were intended to “pave the way for future large-scale operations and eliminate obstacles to the precise engagement of targets.” In Statement No. 36, the IRGC said a long-range radar site, a telecommunications center, satellite reception systems and a US missile defense radar deployed in Kuwait were struck and destroyed during the second stage of the 24th wave of the operation. The statement further said that a hangar housing MQ-9 drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base was hit, with several drones destroyed or sustaining severe damage. The latest announcement, Statement No. 37, said the operation continued with strikes on additional US military assets at Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait. The IRGC said it destroyed an early warning radar, a missile defense radar system, an FPS-117 radar, a Patriot air defense system and a satellite communications system supporting US air defense operations. “With this radar clearance, the enemy must prepare for more decisive and crushing waves of drone and missile attacks,” the IRGC said, adding that its “punitive operation” against the United States would continue. The new military operations came after US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran has “lost everything almost militarily. They’ve got very little left. They've got some missiles, they’ve got some drones, they’ve got some manufacturing ability, not much.” The US military has conducted waves of deadly air raids on Iran for nine consecutive nights, targeting civilian sites in blatant war crimes. In response, the Iranian Armed Forces carried out heavy retaliatory attacks against strategic American targets across West Asia.
