🎙 US strikes cannot weaken Iran’s resolve as tunnel reopens in six hours: VP 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Vice President for Executive Affairs, Mohammad Jafar Qaempanah, says that the enemy’s actions cannot diminish the Iranian nation’s resistance in the slightest, after a US strike on the Shahid Mirzaei Tunnel in Hormozgan province was repaired within six hours. Qaempanah told reporters that a U.S. strike on the Shahid Mirzaei Tunnel, located on the Bandar Abbas–Hajiabad route, was aimed at cutting off transportation links in Hormozgan province—but that the tunnel was reopened within six hours. ​ He added that the enemy’s actions do not diminish the resistance of the Iranian nation and its armed forces in the slightest. ​ Qaempanah arrived in Hormozgan province around midday Sunday to address problems facing Iran’s southern provinces. ​ During a field visit to the Shahid Mirzaei Tunnel, he said a delegation had come to Hormozgan on the orders of President Masoud Pezeshkian to address the challenges facing the country’s southern regions. ​ Emphasizing that the US strike on the tunnel was intended to block Hormozgan’s transportation routes, Qaempanah said the United States does not understand that the Iranian nation stands firm. ​ “Our workers and managers immediately reopened the Shahid Mirzaei Tunnel, and it was back in operation within six hours,” he said. ​ He stated that Washington’s goal is to deal a blow to Iran’s economy, but that this will not happen given the resolve of the Iranian nation. ​ Separately, during an inspection of a damaged bridge over the Shur River, a key transportation route in Khuzestan province, Qaempanah said an alternative route was designed immediately and that traffic is now flowing across it. 📲 ​
