📄 Iran vows full reconstruction of Hormozgan infrastructure after US strikes 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Mohammad Jafar Qaempanah, Vice President for Executive Affairs, who arrived in Bandar Abbas on Sunday to assess damage from recent US strikes on Hormozgan province, pledged that the government would remain alongside residents until every damaged site was fully restored. “The government, with all its capacities, stands by the people until complete reconstruction and compensation of losses, and will not retreat one iota in defending the country’s territorial integrity,” he said. ​ Qaempanah chaired a crisis management session in Hormozgan attended by Minister of Energy Abbas Aliabadi and Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh. ​ He said a government delegation had been dispatched on the orders of President Masoud Pezeshkian to assess the full extent of damage and accelerate the restoration of services across Iran’s southern provinces, including Hormozgan. ​ Following a field visit along the Sirjan–Bandar Abbas corridor and the province’s infrastructure installations, Qaempanah said that despite projectile strikes on key facilities, the effort of road maintenance and relief crews had rapidly reopened routes and maintained public services. ​ On the purpose of his visit, he said the trip was not limited to damage assessment. ​ “Our main objective is to reassure affected families and announce the government’s resolute support. We consider ourselves servants of these people and will spare no effort until the last damaged point is rebuilt,” he said. ​ Condemning the enemy strikes on civilian transit routes, Qaempanah slammed the so-called Western human rights standards, saying, “Which human rights charter allows Western claimants to target innocent families on civilian routes? These actions have further exposed the true nature of those who falsely claim to champion human rights.” ​ Reiterating the resolve of the Iranian people, he stressed that the Iranian nation knows very well how to defend itself. ​ “We proved during the Sacred Defense that we would not surrender even one span of our soil to the enemy. The enemy has still not understood our spirit of resistance; whether a war lasts one day or a hundred years, we will not retreat, and even if we are torn to pieces, we will not lose our beloved Iran,” Qaempanah said. ​ Earlier on the day, Qaempanah also inspected the Shahid Mirzaei Tunnel on the Bandar Abbas–Hajiabad route, which was struck by the US and reopened within six hours, and a damaged bridge over the Shur River in Khuzestan province, where an alternative route was immediately designed and is now carrying traffic. ​ US strikes recently targeted infrastructure across Hormozgan province and beyond. Qaempanah stated that Washington’s goal is to deal a blow to Iran’s economy, but that this will not happen given the resolve of the Iranian nation. 📲 ​
