💬 Iran will never accept US-style ceasefire, will keep responding to aggressor: MP 📌 Tehran, IRNA — Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a senior Iranian lawmaker and member of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, referring to the United States’ noncompliance with the commitment, says the American-style ceasefire is never acceptable for the Islamic Republic. In an interview with IRNA’s reporter on Thursday, Boroujerdi highlighted the US warmongering and untrustworthiness of American officials and said Iran's military responses in self-defense will continue until the enemy accepts its defeat and the situation stabilizes in the region. ​ Pointing to the US breach of a ceasefire and the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, he said Iran had never accepted an American-style ceasefire, under which the US military can resume aggression whenever it wants. ​ Americans had proved repeatedly they did not adhere to their promises and agreements and that this country has never been trustworthy, he noted, stressing that Iran will, however, not allow the US to act in any way it wants. ​ Boroujerdi commended the military response to the renewed US aggression, saying the Iranian Armed Forces, through their resilience and firmness, showed that the American infrastructure in the region will be their legitimate target if the enemy continued its evil acts. ​ Referring to the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's to the United States and his meeting with Trump, he said the two regimes had been complicit in crimes, and, as usual, have started the psychological war again. ​ Boroujerdi noted that the main reason for the reduction in the US attacks has been the powerful response of Iran, but said the Trump administration is afraid of the upcoming congressional elections amid defeats the American military suffered in the imposed war. ​ The representative of the people of Lorestan in the parliament also stressed the need for maintaining national unity and cohesion in war conditions, saying the same had always been emphasized by the martyred Imam and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, to foil enemy plots. 📲 ​
