💬 Iran slams IAEA chief for his silence on US attacks and threats against peaceful nuclear facilities 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, condemning the continued US attacks and threats against Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities, has deplored the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency for his silence on the US military targeting sites under IAEA safeguards. "Where is Rafael Grossi?" Baqaei raised the question in a message posted on his X social media account on Wednesday, taunting the IAEA chief for his inaction over the US breach of the Agency’s norms and regulations. ​ Stating that Iran’s nuclear activities have been fully declared to the Agency under its safeguards obligations, he described the attacks as violations of all the principles and foundations of the United Nations Charter and international law, as well as of relevant resolutions of the IAEA Board of Governors and UN Security Council resolutions. ​ The spokesperson also dismissed Donald Trump’s recent unfounded claim of a nuclear site at Kolang Mountain and the threat of US bombing of the area, saying, “Washington’s obsessive focus on Kolang Kouh where no nuclear activity is taking place is nothing more than a fabricated pretext for aggression, destruction, and sabotage.” ​ He especially taunted Grossi for his silence on U.S. actions and wrote: “By the way, where is the Director General of the IAEA, who is also a candidate for UN Secretary-General??” ​ Baqaei also reaffirmed the steadfastness of the Iranian nation, saying the people, with all their might, are standing firmly against US hostility and any violation of the country’s sovereignty and national security. 📲 ​
