⚡️ Iran’s air defense vigilant, courageous in safeguarding skies from enemies: Navy commander 📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, says the country’s Air Defense Force stood against the aggressive American-Zionist enemy and defended the skies with vigilance and courage, relying on domestic know-how and capabilities. Admiral Irani made the remarks in a message addressed to Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, commander of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force, congratulating the establishment anniversary of Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base and National Air Defense Day that falls this year on September 1. ​ He called the 10th of Shahrivar (the sixth month of the Solar Hijri calendar) a stark reminder of the struggle and sincerity of the country's brave warriors in safeguarding the skies over the Islamic Republic, with courage and sacrifice. ​ Stating that the Iranian Air Defense Force had been at the forefront of defense in all areas – from the eight-year Sacred Defense to the US-Israeli-imposed wars, the navy commander expressed his gratitude and honored the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and in the course of fulfilling their responsibility. ​ During the recent war, the role of air defense fighters was spectacular; relying on local knowledge and capabilities and utilizing domestically manufactured systems, they stood against the criminal American-Zionist enemy, he added. ​ Admiral Irani attributed the combat readiness and enhanced defensive capabilities of the Iranian Armed Forces to their synergy based on the character and school of the martyred Imam, and following the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, aimed at safeguarding the security and national interests. ​ He concluded his message by remembering the precious martyrs of the air defense and extending his warm wishes, on behalf of the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to all air defense commanders, personnel, staff and their esteemed families on the anniversary of the establishment of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base. 📲 ​
