Volume shipped through Hormuz is not the share of an exporter’s total exports, and it is not an importer’s share of consumption. Mixing these three measures produces a false country ranking.

The IEA displays each component to two decimal places. Adding rounded components can differ by 0.01 from the published total, as with Qatar and the overall total. This dataset preserves the IEA total instead of silently recalculating it.
This exporter table cannot produce an importer-dependence ranking. The IEA says 80% of all oil flows went to Asia and China plus India received 44% of the crude flow. It also describes Japan and Korea as particularly reliant, but this table does not publish comparable national dependence percentages with a common denominator.
The IEA says about 93% of Qatar’s and 96% of the UAE’s LNG exports transit Hormuz, together representing 19% of global LNG trade. Those LNG volumes have no alternative route to market. They use different units and must not be added to the oil table.
